Yesterday, the People's Bank of China issued a new notice, which will introduce tougher measures to further crack down on cryptocurrency trading and mining activities.

While China's Development and Reform Commission, has also warned to "root up" crypto miners operating in the country.

In response to the above moves from the Chinese authorities, Sparkpool recently announced that it will suspend some operations in China, such as stopping providing cryptocurrency mining services to "miners" in this country.

Sparkpool is currently headquartered in Hangzhou

Sparkpool is currently headquartered in Hangzhou and in the near future if the situation remains tense, the company may consider moving its headquarters to another country.

Overcoming many other names, Sparkpool is currently considered the largest Ethereum mining pool in the world based on hash rate as of now, accounting for about 20% of the total global Ethereum mining pool, followed by Ethermine.
